Search for your Indiana school’s 2019 graduation rate

Indiana’s graduation rate remains above the national average, according to new data released this week by the Indiana Department of Education, but the percentage of students who graduated dipped slightly in 2019.

In 2019, 87% of Indiana students graduated, compared to 88% in 2018. The state has seen relatively steady graduation rates since 2011, fluctuating small amounts each year.

“There is still work to be done,” said State Superintendent Jennifer McCormick in a press release. “The Department will continue to commit its resources to local districts, working together to ensure our children graduate prepared for life beyond high school.”

Most schools graduate the vast majority of their students. But graduation rates remain stubbornly low at some schools, such as charter schools that specialize in serving adults and virtual charter schools.
